Our Team

About David Parry

David Parry is the creator of The 7 Pillars: Insight to Action™, a practical transformation system built from decades of experience in international consulting, capability development, and business performance recovery. His approach focuses on turning performance bottlenecks into breakthrough behaviours—through diagnostic benchmarking, insight reports, and over 80 modular workshops designed for real-world results.

Over the past 30+ years, David has worked with investors, owners, and leadership teams across mid-cap and multinational businesses in Europe, the Middle East, and beyond. His background spans teaching, finance, sales, marketing, and business strategy, giving him a grounded, end-to-end view of what drives sustainable commercial growth.

He began his career as a schoolteacher, moved into pharmaceuticals marketing, and went on to lead the turnaround of a failing manufacturing business before moving into larger-scale business transformation. His work has spanned manufacturing restructuring, international M&A, and strategic leadership across technology and sustainability sectors. These experiences shaped ‘The 7 Pillars’ framework and led to the publication of his book, The 7 Pillars: Strategies for Business Breakthrough.

Over the past 25 years, David has served as a trusted advisor to investors and business owners, primarily in technology, telecommunications, healthcare, and sustainability, helping improve the performance of international mid-cap SMEs. These experiences shaped The 7 Pillars: Insight to Action™, his practical transformation system, and led to the publication of his book, The 7 Pillars: Strategies for Business Breakthrough.

As founder of SmartBRG, David now works with organisations to embed the framework through digital learning platforms, facilitator training, and strategic partnerships—driving sustainable sales and profit growth across industries including IT security, manufacturing, and sustainability software.

David is passionate about bringing equality of opportunity to those less fortunate and works to help several charities and specifically with clients who have similarly strong values.

Testimony Balogun – Digital Design & Brand Support

Testimony supports the delivery of SmartBRG’s 7 Pillars programmes through thoughtful design, digital production, and platform configuration. He plays a key role in turning complex ideas into clear, engaging visual assets—ensuring our frameworks and tools are as intuitive and impactful as the insights they deliver.

With experience across UK, US, Canadian, and European projects, Testimony brings a design-led, practical approach to brand development and digital communication. From workshop materials to online platforms, his work helps bring consistency, clarity, and a human touch to every client interaction.

Atif Hasan – CFO Advisor & Governance Specialist

Atif brings deep financial and governance expertise to the M&A Insights and 7 Pillars programmes, strengthening our clients’ readiness for investment, sale, and sustainable growth. With over 30 years of experience across multinational corporations and private equity-backed ventures, he provides board-level insight on financial structuring, operational effectiveness, and risk management.

A former CFO and divisional finance leader at British American Tobacco, Atif has led international finance functions across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. In more recent roles, he has supported investor-backed businesses in scaling operations, entering new markets, and implementing governance frameworks that support long-term value creation. His practical, hands-on approach ensures finance becomes an enabler of growth, not just a function.
